Research and data are ubiquitous in healthcare, touching every field and every specialization. From the clinic to the boardroom, decisions are driven by evidence. Thus, every healthcare worker needs to be able to read and understand how data is gathered and how to interpret it. In this course, students learn the basics of planning and conducting research in the health sciences. Building on previous coursework, students will review research design, sampling techniques, and the ethics of health and medical research using human subjects.
